Furyk Gets A Big Fat Cheque

On Sunday September 26th Jim Furyk was faced with a difficult decision.  Which trophy meant more, the FedEx Cup or Tour Championship.  After winning both it was evident that both were equally important however, the Tour Championship represents a season.  After finishing his 72nd hole walking away with $10 million dollars and the title of Tour Champ Jim commented on his wins: 

"They both mean a lot, to be honest with you, but this one is a season...I focused all week on trying to win this one (he pointed to Tour Championship trophy) and hoped this one (the FedEx Cup) could come true."

The Tour Championship hopes for a nerve racking ending that comes down to either the 18-hole on Sunday or a playoff.  This years Tour Championship didnt disappoint fans as it came downt o Furyk's 2 1/2 foot par putt on the 18-Hole to capture a the title of FedEx Cup winner and Tour Champ.

Unfortunately my pick for the win Matt Kuchar did not preform as well as he or I had hoped.  He's game simply wasnt as good as it was on paper previously.  After his final round Kuchar commented: "not even on my radar screen." when asked if he had a chance of winning.

Weather conditions on the final day were about as bad as they get with side rain and cool temperatures showing us the real men amongst the rest of the "boys."  In an article about Jim Furyk's win it was said that Jim wasn't aware of the scoreboard and that he was just focusing on his own game.  I guess his game plan was the right one to follow through on.
